About the Project:

This backyard project in Vaughan is a true transformation.

On our first visit to the site, the homeowners shared their vision of creating the perfect space to entertain.

Our design and build teams brought their vision to life. A new cabana anchors the space. A kitchen and bar wrap around two sides and new furniture wraps the other side, providing seating for a crowd in front of the stone feature wall with gas fireplace and TV. Inside the cabana, a bathroom ensures guests don’t have to leave the yard when nature calls.

The marbelite on the existing concrete pool was refinished. A new feature wall wraps around one curved edge of the pool, with two waterfalls. On the coping, two floating fire features bring light and interest to the yard as the sun goes down.

Rectangular interlock with herringbone inlay around the pool and dining area delivers the modern elegance the homeowners wanted. A stone and artificial turf patio adds another dimension, perfect for pool-side lounging.

Custom stainless-steel planters and integrated stone steps make the hot tub feel like its own destination in this yard built for entertaining.

Throughout the yard, new low-voltage lighting brings a warm glow to the space at night.

Site Challenges:

Construction required the removal of mature trees along the back of the property. New mature trees and custom privacy screens returned the immediate privacy the homeowner desired.
Work was required inside the house to connect the drain for the new outdoor bathroom.
The clients had an existing hot tub they didn’t want to recess, but didn’t want to look like an afterthought. Custom stainless-steel planters with stone steps make the bubbling spa surrounded by a curtain of lush greenery a special place to relax.
